WebMay 17, 2012 · Use an appropriate sized screwdriver and slowly turn the valve out a couple turns to let pressure off the system. Let the unit drain. When drained replace the valve, not the snap ring yet, refill with new fluid, use Dexron ATF. Cycle the trim a few times and repeat the draining.
