WebJul 5, 2016 · I think BKP's decision of somehow associating this pickup with the AC/DC sounds, while correct, also has the ill effect of kind of narrowing the audience of such a great and versatile pickup. Basically a hot PAF set (read these described on their boards as like the Riff Raff set on steroids), basically, I wanted something hotter than vintage, but not "Metal" as such. These nail it. Bright, but not shrill or icepicky and they nail the sounds I was after.

WebMar 6, 2014 · Funny though, when Tim serviced Page's Les Paul, he said the Riff Raff was the closest BKP to the stock pups in the LP. I think that is after he had changed the pickups to T-tops. The Riff Raff is closest to a T-top, the BD's are like his older PAF's.
